Our 2009-2010 Season is bursting with exciting new elements:
- More inspiration and deeper enjoyment through new productions
- The launch of Opera Annex, an annual production that is fully-staged and designed for a found space outside the traditional theatre. It offers a fresh approach to opera and lower prices for people interested in trying opera for the first time.
- The Signature Series, a new partnership between BLO and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston that offers a Sunday afternoon mix of lively arts with an optional reception.
- BLO’s Open House at the Shubert, a free day of performances, activities, backstage tours and more. Fun for adults, kids, opera aficionados and newcomers—everyone’s invited!

The Barber of Seville Winter/Spring 2010
This family favorite is fully staged, sung in English and is just one squirm-proof hour. The legendary barber Figaro uses every trick in the book to free the lovely Rosina from the clutches of crotchety Dr. Bartolo and unite her with the dashing Count Almaviva.
