Directions to the Citi Performing Arts CenterSM Shubert Theatre

By Car

From the North: From the Central Artery/I-93 Southbound, take Exit 20-A (South Station) onto Purchase Street. Continue along Purchase Street, which becomes Surface Artery, to Kneeland Street. Turn right onto Kneeland Street. Go straight for several blocks, and then turn left on Tremont Street. The Citi Performing Arts CenterSM Shubert Theatre is on your right.

From the South: Take I-93 North to Exit 20 and follow signs to South Station by staying straight (signage is labeled 90 West/Worcester and South Station) and going past the left hand exit to 90 East. Take the South Station/Chinatown route to the left. Once on the path to South Station, take a left at the second signal light at Kneeland Street towards Chinatown. Go straight on Kneeland Street for several blocks and turn left on Tremont Street. The Citi Performing Arts CenterSM Shubert Theatre is on your right

From the West: Take Exit 24-A (South Station) from the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90). Turn left on Kneeland Street. Go straight for several blocks, and then turn left on Tremont Street. The Citi Performing Arts CenterSM Shubert Theatre is on your right

From Storrow Drive: Take the Government Center/Cambridge Street Exit and continue on Cambridge Street towards Government Center. After passing City Plaza, Cambridge Street will turn into Tremont Street. Go straight on Tremont Street past the Boston Commons for several blocks. The Citi Performing Arts CenterSM Shubert Theatre is on your right

By MBTA (the “T”)
Orange Line: Exit New England Medical Center, walk out the Tremont Street exit and bear right, walking against the direction of traffic. The theatre is on the left.

Green Line: Exit Boylston Street. Walk down Tremont Street away from Boston Common. The theatre is two blocks up on the right.

Red Line: Exit Park Street and walk down Tremont Street, past the Boston Common. The theatre is two blocks up on the right.

Parking Information
There are several parking lots located near the theatre:

  • CityPlace Garage in Park Square
  • The Fitz-Inn Parking Lot on Kneeland Street
  • The Four Seasons Hotel on Boylston Street
  • The Kinney Motor Mart on Stuart Street
  • The Radisson Hotel on Stuart Street
  • The Tremont Street Garage adjacent to the Citi Performing Arts CenterSM Wang Theatre.

Directions to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum for our upcoming production of The Lighthouse

By MBTA (the “T”)
The Library and Museum is easily accessed by public transportation. Take the MBTA Rapid Transit, Red Line (any red line train) to JFK/UMASS Station. There is a free shuttle bus to the Library every 20 minutes beginning at 8:00 a.m. and running until Museum closing. Please take the buses marked ‘JFK.’

Driving Directions
The Library and Museum is located on Columbia Point in Boston close to route I-93.

From the South by automobile:
Take route 3/I-93 (Southeast Expressway) to exit 14. At the end of the ramp, merge onto Morrissey Boulevard. Follow the signs to the JFK Library and Museum and the University of Massachusetts.

From the North by automobile:
Take route I-93 or I-95 south to Boston and onto the Southeast Expressway (route3/I-93). Take exit 15 and follow the signs to the JFK Library and Museum and the University of Massachusetts.

From the West by automobile:
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (route I-90) to “Expressway South” (route 3/I-93), southbound to Exit 15. Follow signs to the JFK Library and Museum and the University of Massachusetts.

Parking
Parking is free for Museum visitors. Free motorcoach parking is also available–please contact the Group Visits office.
