Friends of Boston Lyric Opera

Friends of BLO is the largest community of supporters in the Boston Lyric Opera Community. Members enjoy opportunities to explore opera and socialize actively with donors who share they passion.

As your donations grow, access to benefits that enrich your operatic experience grow as well, including backstage tours, invitations to private events and listening/reading recommendations from BLO’s artistic advisors and directors.  Benefits begin at $100, and all patrons donating $250+ will be recognized in the Season Playbills.

Most importantly though, your donation ensures that opera impacts the city of Boston.

• 250 interacted at the Boston Public Library
• 600 experienced a live, working dress rehearsal
• 1,750 heard a pre-performance lecture
• 2,800 students and youth experience opera … for the first time!
• 16,800 attended outdoor concerts
• 21,850 participated in education and community programs
• 41,210 counted themselves as BLO audience members
