Nestled among artist studios\, galleries\, and retail shops\, the SoWa (South of Washington) Open Market features a variety of regional and local vendors\, plus food and beverage trucks\, lawn games\, and other all-ages activities. BLO’s virtuosic musicians will perform mini-sets of fan-favorite opera and musical theater repertoire while audiences sample delicious food and discover handmade treasures. Come early for opera trivia\, giveaways\, and interactive fun during this special “Christmas in July”-themed event!   \nFeatured Performers:\nLaura Santamaria (soprano)\nMorgan Mastrangelo (tenor)\nJames Lorusso (pianist) \nLearn more about the SoWa Open Market \n This program is free and recommended for audiences of all ages. Playbills with texts and English translations of the multilingual program will be provided on site.   \n Street Stage is supported by the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture and the City of Boston through the Neighborhood and Downtown Activation Grant.   \n  \nSTREET STAGE: WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!  \n \nArrival  \nSoWa Open Market opens to visitors at 11AM. BLO will be on site from 11-2\, with the main vocal sets featured between 12 – 1:30. Audience can arrive at anytime and come and go as they please. BLO staff will be on site to provide concert programs and answer questions.   \nSeating  \nSeating is available at picnic tables\, on benches\, and on the nearby turf lawn facing the outdoor stage. Please prioritize seating for anyone with accessibility needs.  \n \nAccessibility  \nThe SoWa Open Market is wheelchair accessible. Restrooms (both indoor and portable toilets) are available on site. If you need any special accommodations\, please email boxoffice@blo.org.  \n  \nWeather  \nStreet Stage will proceed in a variety of weather conditions\, including direct sun and light drizzle. In the case of severe inclement weather (including storms\, strong winds\, and extreme heat) BLO staff will update our website with the new performance time. Register for the event to receive an e-mail with weather-related updates.  \nPublic Transit   \nThe nearest MBTA stops are Back Bay or Tufts Medical Station (Orange Line) and Broadway (Red Line). The closest Silver Line 4 stop is at Washington St. and E. Berkeley St.  \nParking   \nThere are paid lots available at 540 Harrison Avenue\, 365 Albany Street\, 324 Albany Street\, and 274 Albany Street. All lots are $10 cash. Metered Street Parking is also free in Boston on Sundays.  \nFood & Beverages  \nFood and beverages are welcome on site\, and numerous food and beverage trucks are available. Beer\, wine\, and other adult beverages are available for purchase for guests 21+\, and must be consumed on the premises.
