Creative Youth Development

BLO Education works with VOICES Boston to bring education and training opportunities during out of school time to youth in the Greater Boston area. Designed to support each organization’s mission, our co-presented opportunities bring the expertise of both organizations together to offer the highest quality learning opportunities for youth in elementary and high school. 

VOICES Boston is a nationally recognized chorus and performing arts program serving youth in the greater Boston area in Kindergarten through Middle School.

Opera Camp

Offered in August, this one-week day-camp gives elementary and middle school youth the opportunity to learn about how an opera is created—from writing a libretto, to composing music, to technical theater—and work together to create their own original opera!

Music Theater Audition Workshop

Offered in February to upper elementary and middle school students, this weekend intensive prepares youth with best practices they can use in their school and community theater auditions.

Vocal Auditioning Basics: A College Prep Course for High School Singers

Offered in November to juniors and seniors in high school, students learn techniques in preparation for college and summer program auditions.
