Our Volunteer Philosophy
Volunteers play an active role in promoting and fostering our values at Boston Lyric Opera. By volunteering, you get up close and personal with the inner workings of an opera company. Additionally, you have the chance to become an integral part of Boston’s vibrant arts community. We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds to join our vibrant, dynamic, and engaging team. BLO’s team of dedicated volunteers assist staff with a variety of projects including administrative work, production assistance, light walking, supernumerary work, social media, and more. Volunteer contributions are essential to BLO throughout the season, please join us in our love for music, opera, and our arts community!
- Two free tickets to the Final Dress Rehearsal for every opera
- Fee-free tickets when purchasing
- Volunteer appreciation dinner
