Boston Lyric Opera announces auditions for local AGMA singers for chorus and role consideration for the 2026-2027 Season. Local AGMA artists are invited to request an audition. An accompanist will be provided, but singers may bring their own.
Please prepare at least three arias of your choice.
Repertoire for the 2026-2027 Season has not yet been announced.

Fees will align with BLO’s collective bargaining agreement with AGMA for the 2026/2027 season. Employment may be W-2 or 1099 depending on offer of engagement and associated personnel group.
Materials must be received no later than January 2nd 2026, 5:00pm EST.
AGMA members are asked to be sure their union affiliation is indicated clearly on their résumés in the upper right-hand corner.
Singers selected to audition will be notified by email by January 8th, 2026.

A supernumerary is defined as “an actor without a speaking part, as one who appears in a crowd scene.” In the world of the operatic stage, a supernumerary (or “Super”) can take on many roles depending on the needs of each individual production.
