YOUR BLO: You make opera happen

YOUR BLO

It’s your BLO.
Celebrating our 35th Anniversary Season

”Opening night is my favorite performance. Everything is new – for the audience and the artists. When the curtain goes up, it’s breathtaking, and you have the feeling that anything can happen. That energy and excitement carry over to the post-performance cast party, which often has its own happy surprises.

“A few years ago, opening night coincided with the conductor’s birthday. When he arrived at the party, everyone sang happy birthday, including the baritone standing next to me. It was the best rendering of ‘happy birthday’ that I’ve ever heard.”
