In its eighth year, the Middle School Musical Theatre Audition Workshop is presented in partnership with VOICES Boston. In this workshop, singers in grades 5-8 participate in masterclasses designed to teach audition techniques and strategies, develop their theatrical movement skills, and introduce them to styles of characterization. This workshop prepares singers to excel in musical theatre and choral audition settings, as well as to grow their confidence in their own abilities. Across two days, BLO Teaching Artists coach each participant on a song they have prepared and introduce them to a new one. Participants also learn a short dance call with a guest choreographer.
Fee: $125 for current VOICES Boston singers; $150 for non-VOICES Boston singers. Open to 5th-8th graders.
