Join Boston Lyric Opera at WaveForms, a free event on October 25th from 7-10pm at the Midway Artist Studios Building in Fort Point!
We’re thrilled to be part of this exciting partnership with the Museum of Science, MASARY, Boston Cyberarts, MIT Spatial Audio Lab,ILLUMINUS, and AVFX to celebrate some of Boston’s most innovative new-media artists through installation, experimental video, and performance.
Part of the evening will take place at BLO’s expanded Opera + Community Studios! We’re especially excited to feature Angela Yam, a 2024/25 Jane & Steven Akin Emerging Artist who recently appeared in our production of Mitridate. Angela will collaborate with MASARY on Calves Can’t Handle, an immersive audio-visual piece by MASARY’s founder Ryan Edwards, exploring the powerful calving events of glaciers and the vast, changing landscapes they create.
