Live Event Ticketing

Discounts: Any and all discounts that BLO may offer are not applicable to orders already processed.

Exchanges: Non-subscribers can exchange their tickets before their performance for a flat $10 fee.

Subscribers can exchange their tickets before their performance at no extra charge.

Quartet subscribers can exchange tickets for a missed performance within one (1) business day of the performance for a flat $10 fee.

To complete the exchange or donation, all tickets being exchanged or donated need to be sent back to BLO by at least 48 hours before the performance to:

You may substitute mailing the physical ticket to BLO’s office by writing “VOID” on each exchanged/ donated ticket and sending an image to boxoffice@blo.org.

BLO’s Audience Services team will find similar seating to your original seat(s), depending upon availability.

Refunds: All purchases are nonrefundable, but if you can’t make a production your tickets can be turned back to BLO for a tax-deductible donation.

Downgrades: Any difference in cost between performances due to availability is non-refundable.

Please note that Premium Seats (AA Zone) are at a higher cost on Opening Nights as they include access to Opening Night Parties – if you exchange out of Premium Seats on Opening Night, the difference in cost is non-refundable.

Digital Event Ticketing

Please note that all restrictions in our Live Performance Ticketing Policies apply to BLO’s Digital Content.

Exchanges & Refunds: All orders for BLO Digital Content are final and cannot be exchanged or refunded. Any questions about purchases made through Vimeo’s Platform should be directed to Vimeo’s customer service.

Accessibility for Live Events

Accessible Seating is available for each performance at all price levels. Members of the Audience Services Team are available to assist with purchasing these at 617.542.6772 or boxoffice@blo.org.

Service Animals are welcome to all productions and programs. Please let us know when you purchase your tickets so you and your animal are seated comfortably.

Large Print Programs are currently available for each production digitally. A link can be found on the web page of each opera for viewing and download.

Assisted Listening Devices are available at the Box Office at every production.

Surtitles in English are provided for every production on multiple screens placed throughout each performance venue.

Boston Lyric Opera is dedicated to meeting the needs of each of our patrons to the best of our ability, so that everyone has an enjoyable opera experience. We are committed to implementing the best practices to ensure that opera is accessible to all, and this is an ongoing process.
