BLO’s Street Stage returns to Jamaica Plain this summer, pairing a free all-ages concert with a treasured neighborhood community event. Enjoy virtuosic singing in front of Curtis Hall’s landmark facade, nestled between the Jamaica Plain branch of the Boston Public Library and the historic Loring Greenough House. Come early to enjoy food trucks, a beer garden, and community fun at Thursdays on the Lawn, then stay for an exciting concert program featuring fan-favorite opera repertoire, musical theatre, and more.

This program is free and welcomes audiences of all ages. Playbills with texts and English translations of the multilingual program will be available on site.
Street Stage is supported by the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture and the City of Boston through the Neighborhood and Downtown Activation Grant.
STREET STAGE: WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!
Arrival
Arrive any time after 4PM to enjoy activities at the Loring Greenough House during Thursdays on the Lawn. BLO staff will be on site in front of Curtis Hall to provide programs and answer questions.
Seating
Seating is available on the open grass and brick seating structures. You are welcome to bring a blanket or lawn chair. A limited number of chairs will be provided on site. Please prioritize seating for anyone with accessibility needs.
Accessibility
The Curtis Hall driveway is wheelchair accessible. If you need any special accommodations, please email boxoffice@blo.org.
Weather
Street Stage will proceed in a variety of weather conditions, including direct sun and light drizzle. In the case of severe inclement weather (including storms, strong winds, and extreme heat) BLO staff will update our website with the new performance time. Register for the event to receive an email with weather-related updates.
Public Transit
Curtis Hall is within walking distance of the MBTA Green Street stop (Orange Line). It is also on the 38 and 39 bus routes.
Parking
There is limited metered parking along South Street in Jamaica Plain. Please check signs for resident-only and bus lane restrictions.
Food & Beverages
Food and beverages are welcome on site, and many vendors will be available at the Loring Greenough House. We encourage you to bring water. Alcohol consumption is prohibited at Curtis Hall. Any purchases from the neighboring beer garden must stay in the designated areas at the Loring Greenough House.
Pets
Pets are welcome at Street Stage events but should be kept on a leash and cleaned up after.
