Nadine Sierra in Recital

Presented by Boston Lyric Opera in association with Vivo Performing Arts

New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall

Wednesday, June 2 | 7:30pm

A must-see performance by an operatic icon!

From the soaring arias of Puccini and Bellini to the sun-drenched melody of “O Sole Mio” and the romantic sweep of Ponce, Turina, and Villa-Lobos, you’re invited on a whirlwind tour spanning the opera houses of Italy, the concert halls of Brazil, the theaters of Broadway, and the heart of Latin America in an explosion of joy that celebrates the full power and richness of the human voice.

Praised for her vocal beauty, seamless technique, and abundant musicality, soprano Nadine Sierra is hailed as one of the most promising young talents in opera today. Having made a string of successful debuts at The Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala, Paris Opera, and Staatsoper Berlin, she has become a fixture at many of the top houses around the world.

Ms. Sierra’s early career milestones with BLO include acclaimed portrayals of Gilda in Rigoletto (2014) and Tytania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2011), with the earlier role performed while she was still a student at The Mannes College of Music. She will be joined by pianist Bryan Wagorn, who serves as Assistant Conductor at The Metropolitan Opera.
