Casting Call
BLO is accepting digital audition submissions for the upcoming production of William Tell.

Rate – $30/hour
You will not be called to staging rehearsals outside of the following, however you may not be needed for all times listed below:

Male Presenting Super Information
- Seeking an athletic male-presenting performer, appearing between 25-45 years old, with strong dramatic acting and stage combat experience, to portray a non-speaking role
- No dance experience is required.
- The performer would be portraying a cameraman/bodyguard/soldier and engaging in crowd-control and fight scenes
- Strong, imposing physical presence is a must.

Female Presenting Super Information
- Seeking a female-presenting actor, appearing between 25-40 years old, with strong dramatic acting experience, to portray three different non-speaking roles.
- Role 1 – Strict Film Director – a representative of an authoritarian regime at a propaganda shoot
- Role 2 – A village woman of a people who fight for their freedom, who is pulled out of the crowd by authoritarian regime guards and is interrogated. Implied sexual violence, no nudity.
- Role 3 – A celebrity entertainer at a State event celebrating the authoritarian regime. A singer who will be lip-syncing a song sung by other performers on stage.
- No dance experience is required

A supernumerary is defined as “an actor without a speaking part, as one who appears in a crowd scene.” In the world of the operatic stage, a supernumerary (or “Super”) can take on many roles depending on the needs of each individual production.
