Celebrate 5 years of Street Stage in the heart of Boston’s Latino community as Boston Lyric Opera and Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción (IBA) team up for an evening of music, community-building, and cultural celebration. Enjoy an open-air concert featuring captivating Spanish-language songs paired with readings and performances by Villa Victoria community members. Want to make an evening of it? The surrounding park in the historic South End includes a playground, picnic areas, basketball courts, and the magnificent architecture of IBA’s newly opened La CASA, the Center for Arts, Self-determination, and Activism.

This program is free and welcomes audiences of all ages and cultural backgrounds. Remarks and playbills with music, texts, and translations will be provided in English and Spanish.
Street Stage is supported by the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture and the City of Boston through the Neighborhood and Downtown Activation Grant.

Arrival
Arrive any time after 4:00PM. BLO staff will be on site to provide playbills and answer questions.
Seating
There is plenty of audience seating on benches surrounding the performance location and at nearby picnic tables. Please prioritize seating for Villa Victoria residents and anyone with accessibility needs. Otherwise, seating is first-come, first-served. If you wish to bring your own lawn chair or blanket to set up on the grass, you may do so.
Accessibility
The performance area is fully wheelchair accessible. If you need any special accommodations, please email boxoffice@blo.org.
Weather
Street Stage will proceed in a variety of weather conditions, including direct sun and light drizzle. In the case of severe inclement weather (including heavy rain, strong winds, and extreme heat) BLO staff will update our website with the new performance time. Register for the event to receive an e-mail with weather-related updates.
Public Transit
La CASA / O'Day Playground is an approximately 10-minute walk from Back Bay (Orange Line) or a 14-minute walk from Copley Square or Prudential (Green Line). The park is also accessible via the 1, 10, 15, 43, 504, 57, and SL5 bus routes.
Parking
The closest parking garage is LAZ Parking – 126 Dartmouth Street (8-minute walk). Limited street parking is available due to residential restrictions, please read signs carefully.
Food & Beverages
Food and beverages are welcome on site, and we encourage you to bring water. There are several restaurants and cafes with to-go options within walking distance of the performance area. On-site alcohol consumption is prohibited.
Pets
Pets are welcome at Street Stage events but should be kept on a leash and cleaned up after.
